Patrick Vance is responsible for the general oversight of the church including administration, personel, preaching, teaching and pastoral care.   He has been serving at the Warm Beach Church since July of 1994. Eric Barnes is the Youth Pastor at Warm Beach Free Methodist Church.  He lives in Mt. Vernon with his wife Heidi and two kids, Calvin and Muriel.  He graduated from Western Washington University with a BA in secondary education as a History major. In June 2009 Eric was ordained an Elder in the Free Methodist Church.  A native of the Northwest he continues to be a Mariner fan despite many reasons not to be.

Abby Nelson is the Children's Ministry Pastor at WBFMC.  Abby grew up in Richland, Washington.  She fell in love with the Warm Beach area on the rainy day she set foot on the Warm Beach campground in 2000.  She and Thad have been married since 2001 and love taking their chocolate lab, Latte, for adventures. Abby graduated from Seattle Pacific University in 2001 with a degree in Educational Ministry and finally graduated with an M.Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary in May 2009.  Abby has a passion for sharing the love of Jesus with children and grown-ups, and she is thrilled to be doing just that here at WBFMC!

Sam and his wife Rachelle both grew up in Minnesota, but met each other while attending Seattle Pacific University.  They graduated together in 2006 and were married a week after graduation!  Whew!  They moved to Princeton, New Jersey in the fall of 2006 where Sam began his seminary education at Princeton Theological Seminary.  Sam graduated in 2009 with a Masters of Divinity and they returned to the Pacific Northwest in July of 2009. 

Sam and Rachelle have a son named Cadence Walter Schaar who was born on June 13, 2010 in Mt. Vernon.  They love to sit and watch him do baby stuff!

Sam and Rachelle have two dogs: Benny (a Yorkie-poo) and Jerry (a miniature poodle).  They love to go for walks together and finding creative ways to make each other laugh.

Sam loves to read and can often be found spending his free time with his nose in a book.  He also loves to spend time talking about theology in coffee shops!
