We Are Warm Beach Church

On June 20, 1967 – the Warm Beach Free Methodist Church was launched with 26 members, the average age of each person being 70. With the exception of two young couples, everyone was part of the Warm Beach Senior Community. But those seniors had a vision that our church would not just be a senior chapel. From the very beginning of our story, our church’s vision has been to reach this community for Jesus, to be a church for all ages, for everyone!

And so right out of the gate, even before we had our own property, while we were still meeting at the Grange Hall – we were reaching out to kids and planning programs for youth. God’s favor was all over this church plant, too. Just months after launching, the 10 acres our campus sits on today was sold to the church by a Christian couple for $1,000, essentially a gift. We now had space to gather together to worship and to hear God’s Word, to be inspired, equipped and challenged to reach out to this community with the good news of the gospel.

And that’s what we want to continue to be about today. It’s why we do outreach events like Vacation Bible School. It’s why we have volunteers serving in the schools, serving at the food bank, serving with Special Friends Camp, and serving the homeless. It’s why we make a big deal about inviting our friends, neighbors and co-workers to our church. It’s why we encourage each other to share the love of Christ with those in our spheres of influence.

Over our 50 year history as a church, there have been hundreds of people in our community who have come to faith in Christ, been baptized, and experienced His transforming power in their lives. And that’s what we want to continue to see happen in our next 50 years as a church.

We hope you’ll join us at Warm Beach Church, where Jesus is transforming lives!
