Worship Center Update

We wanted to take a moment and update everyone on the process of our Worship Center Remodel. It can be challenging trying to use the same space while it is under construction, but you have all made it possible through your gift of grace. Thank you for understanding as we work to bring the necessary updates to our Worship Center.

All of the sound, video, and lighting components have arrived and we will begin installing them over the next few weeks. We’re hoping to have our new LED screen installed before our Christmas Eve services, but that will depend on the installer’s schedule. The plan is to finish the stage wall and have it painted before the LED screen is installed. The new lighting and sound system will also be installed shortly after.

Many of you have noticed the cross had to be taken down to do the work on the stage wall. This is only a temporary action. The cross is a vital symbol of our faith and the grace of God in our lives. A new cross will be hung up once all the of the construction and installation has been completed.

One of the bigger aspects of the remodel has been to finish removing all the old, single-pane windows and sealing up the walls. This will help us to save money on heating and cooling expenses, keep pests out the building, and offer better sound proofing.

Lastly, we are expecting our new chairs to arrive in the next couple weeks. The new hymnals have already arrived and are just waiting for the chairs to be placed in the Worship Center. The new carpet will be installed in the new year. Our hope is to be finished with the Worship Center Remodel end of January or the beginning of February.

It’s a blessing to be able to do all of this, and none of it would be possible without the faithfulness of our people and the blessing of God. All of this work is paid for through funds given outside of our general budget (money received through tithes). Our board has created a Building Fund where gifts over and above our normal tithing can be made to help with future campus improvements. We’re excited to think about the possibilities of how God will use our campus as we seek to build kingdom-minded relationships as we call and equip every generation to live like Jesus.
